Nails XL transforms the hand into an instrument. I design and tune ten electro-acoustic fingernails, each an individual sonic device worn on the fingertips. Played through scratching, tapping, and drumming, they translate the textures of surfaces into amplified sound, turning touch into a site of composition and exchange with collaborating artists.
